Toyota has stated that it will work in partnership with Suzuki to introduce a small SUV to the Indian market. The new Toyota small SUV, which will launch in India on July 1, has already been seen in spy photos, but this is the first time the manufacturer has teased the vehicle. The compact SUV, which Toyota hasn’t officially confirmed will be dubbed the Hyryder, is what you’d anticipate a high-riding SUV to look like. Only the front of the car is shown in the teaser shot, which allows us to view the design more clearly.
Hyryder Design by Toyota
The split headlamp style that has been popular on many of today’s SUVs is adopted by the Hyryder. A thick chrome bar stretching toward the centre of the Toyota logo sits between the LED daytime running lamps on either side of the grille up top. A substantial central air dam and a faux skid plate feature are flanked by the main headlamp unit, which is located lower on the front bumper. Dual-tone paint finishes may also be available, according to the image, but we won’t know for sure until the big unveiling.
The Suzuki version of the new compact SUV will go on sale not long after the Toyota model. The new compact SUV will be manufactured at the Toyota facility in Bengaluru. We anticipate that it will have a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with smart hybrid technology, but Toyota just might surprise us by also introducing a powerful hybrid model. Keep checking back for more information while we wait to learn more about the vehicle.
